Your Activities as a Volunteer

• Teach English 2-3 hours per day, Sunday to Friday (Saturday is holiday)
• Help students improve speaking, pronunciation, and confidence
• Assist in classroom activities, lesson planning, and extracurriculars: games, painting, music, basic computer, sanitation awareness
• Train local teachers with creative methods and your own materials

Where You Will Volunteer

We place you where help is needed most:

• Government schools in rural villages (Lamjung and surrounding areas)
• Schools in Kathmandu Valley
• Buddhist monasteries in Boudha, Pharping, Namobuddha — young monks learning English to share Buddhism
• Childcare homes and orphanages

You will work with students who are eager to learn but lack access to quality education.

Simple: $150 first week, then $100 per extra week

Arrival & Orientation Program (3 Days Included in Fee)

Day 1 – Arrival Kathmandu: Airport pickup, transfer to Be Here Now Guest House, check-in, program orientation
Day 2 – Orientation & Culture: Breakfast, detailed orientation, Thamel exploration, Nepali cooking class, visit Swayambhunath Stupa, survival Nepali lessons (2 hrs daily)
Day 3 – Heritage Tour: Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Patan Durbar Square — plus teaching tips for your placement
